At Apple's event last Tuesday, they announced prices for the upcoming Mac Pro. While not inexpensive, they are in line with the previous Mac Pro pricing structure. Currently, a Quad-Core Mac Pro with dual AMD FirePro D300's and 12GB of DDR3 memory with a 256GB PCIe flash storage hard drive will set you back $2,999. A 6-core Mac Pro with dual AMD FirePro D500's and 16GB of DDR3 memory with the same hard drive as listed above will cost you $3,999. Of course both of these machines will be configurable with Apple's system. I would anticipate a top-of-the-line Mac Pro with all the goodies selected to still clock in between $6K-$9K.
