David Pogue, tech columnist at Yahoo (formerly at The New York Times) writing about a new Yahoo app released last month:
It turns your phone into an actual FM receiver (the earbuds are the antenna) — without using one single megabyte of your monthly data allotment. In an age when using Internet services on your cellphone can be very expensive, a feature that reduces the amount of data you use is a big, big deal.
So Pogue is plugging his own companies radio app? And the solution for the next generation of music is traditional terrestrial broadcast via FM? Don't tell anybody, but I think Sony already solved this problem….they're called Walkman's.
