On Comcast Attempting to Merge with Time Warner

Edward Wyatt writing in the NY Times:

“We’re certainly not promising that customer bills are going to go down or even that they’re going to increase less rapidly,” David L. Cohen, a Comcast executive vice president, said Thursday in a conference call with reporters.

Really? Good thing he's not promising that bills will go down, especially since the American public holds what major telecomm execs say in such high esteem. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to see how this merger is a good thing for consumers.
